Nick Maiorano
Nick Maiorano is the creator and director behind Motionline Productions. With a lifelong background in the entertainment industry, he brings a well-rounded creative perspective shaped by years of experience both in front of and behind the camera.
Nick began his career as an actor and dancer on the hit Canadian TV series The Next Step before transitioning into directing and cinematic production. Having worked across multiple areas of production, he has developed a strong understanding of storytelling, movement, and on-set collaboration — allowing him to lead productions with confidence, precision, and clear communication between cast and crew.
His work has reached millions of viewers across social media platforms and has been featured on various Canadian television networks and channels.
Founder/Director
Jay has been an integral part of Motionline Productions since day one. With more than 30 years of experience behind the camera, he brings a refined cinematic eye, technical precision, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling to every production.
As Director of Photography, Jay is known for delivering exceptional results across film, commercial, and creative projects with consistency and professionalism. His recent credits include Star Trek, Welcome to Derry, and Red Pine City.

Since her professional beginning in 1995 Amy Wright has become one of Canada’s most in demand Choreographers. Her work includes feature films, movies of the week, television series, reality TV, commercials and stage musicals, including Canada’s prestigious SHAW FESTIVAL. Amy is the Casting Director, Choreographer and a Producer for the sensational television series The Next Step watched by millions around the world.
Most recently, Amy has choreographed dances with Jason Priestly for PRIVATE EYES (Global), a Christmas Pageant for ANNE WITH AN E (Netflix and CBC), the series finale of KILLJOYS (Crave), spectacular Vaudeville routines for AMERICAN GODS (Amazon Prime), and lots of cheerleading for DARE ME, a pilot for NBC/USA Network. She is proud of her work on Emmy and Golden Globe winner Grey Gardens (HBO) with stars Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, and the feature film Crimson Peak with Tom Hiddleston, directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

Kelly Chmilar
Kelly Chmilar is a non-binary trans Canadian film and television producer with over a decade of experience in the industry. Based Northwest of Toronto, they have been actively working in film and television since 2012.
Chmilar has collaborated with production companies like Beachwood Canyon Productions Inc., where they served as a producer from 2016 to 2024. Their work encompasses a range of responsibilities, including
budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating production logistics, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the production process. Their commitment to authentic storytelling and inclusive representation is evident in
their projects, aligning with their identity as a non-binary producer. Chmilar's experience and dedication to the craft makes them a valuable collaborator in the development and execution of film and television projects.
